SIZING AND FIT
HOW TO MEASURE
1.YOUR FOOT LENGTH
- Place a piece of paper on the floor with the shorter edge of the paper against a wall. Place your foot on the paper with the heel against the wall. Stand normally so that your body weight is distributed between both feet.
- With a pen or pencil, mark the tip of the longest toe. To know your foot length, take a ruler and measure the distance from the mark to the bottom of the page (heel). Optional- measure the width of your foot. Measure both feet as they are not always the same size and use the larger measurement.
Now, go to the sizing chart. Refer to Insole column and choose a measurement that's 0.5cm-1cm (0.2”-0.4") longer than your foot length. For example: Refer to Women's Clays size chart - If you measured 24cm (10.4”), your optimal shoe size would be a Groundz 39 (US7.5-8)
2.WITH SHOE TEMPLATE
- Choose the most appropriate size and print out the corresponding template (PDF) and place the paper against the wall. Ensure the wall and floor is flat.
- Place your foot on the template making sure your heel is against the wall. Make sure to stand up straight (don’t sit when measuring).
- Look down at the paper and make sure your toes do not pass the line. For clays, do not pass the dotted line.
COMFORT & FIT
B I O S
We recommend wearing B I O S sneakers for at least 30 days in order to experience it’s full benefits! If you experience discomfort with the tongue of the shoe digging into your foot initially, please note that it will soften with regular use. We recommend wearing cotton socks for a few days to ease the break-in period while still enjoying the full benefits of grounding.
CLAYS
You will notice that the insole has stitching along the edges. This Beeswax-coated twine is an integral part of the construction of the shoe and is what allows us not use cements and glues to attach the different parts of the shoe. It is completely normal to feel the twine and it will soften with use. The more you wear them the quicker they will soften. If they are extremely bothersome try wearing them with socks which will speed up the break in period. When wearing them with socks, the stitching is hardly noticeable. Wearing natural cotton socks will still provide grounding!
