Our goal is to design anatomically correct shoes using natural materials whenever possible. We've engineered barefoot shoes that are functional, versatile, grounding, comfortable, and stylish. Our shoes may look and feel a bit different—and that’s intentional. We create shoes shaped for feet, not feet shaped for shoes.

Our footwear is designed with a wide toe box and a thin, flexible sole to promote natural strength and freedom of movement. We craft our shoes to be as close to barefoot as possible, incorporating grounding technology that helps you stay connected to the earth and feel the ground beneath your feet.

Edan

President

With a robust background in business management, Edan brings strategic vision and operational expertise to Groundz. His experience facilitates effective leadership, advancing the mission of promoting health through grounding, barefoot living, and a more mindful way of life.

A former varsity tennis player and an avid Formula 1 racing fan, Edan’s active lifestyle and diverse interests inspire his commitment to integrating health and passion into Groundz’s offerings.

Ty

Chief Product Officer and Head of Creative

Ty’s journey into health and wellness began after his father’s heart surgery, an experience that inspired him to pursue a degree in food science and nutrition and embrace a lifestyle focused on a healthy diet and overall well-being. He is also a dedicated practitioner of Iyengar yoga, having completed a rigorous three-year teacher’s training program. This practice has instilled in him the importance of balance, alignment, and mindfulness in daily life. In his spare time you can find him hitting the sand for beach volleyball or dancing salsa.

A serial entrepreneur, Ty’s previous endeavors include founding a natural food company, and running a kitchen design firm. At Groundz, he leads product development, ensuring that we create products that embody the company’s values, seamlessly blending functionality with fashion to help people live more grounded and healthier lives.

Matt

Customer Relations Manager

Matt is the head of the customer support department at Groundz, and is driven by a passion for organization and a genuine love for helping people. His mission is to ensure that every customer has a positive experience, where they feel both heard and valued.

Outside of work, Matt is a self-proclaimed foodie. He loves exploring new cuisines and hunting for the best spots to eat, always on the lookout for his next great meal. This passion for food mirrors his love for discovering and sharing the best in life—whether it’s an amazing dish or the perfect pair of shoes.

Social Media Manager

Valerie is a passionate creative with a flair for aesthetics, infusing every project—whether crafting brand content or capturing life's fleeting moments—with her unique vision.
